An Unturned server, from empty to populated
Curated maps, workshop content and the config that decides whether your server is a survival one. Light on hardware, particular about setup.

Unturned asks almost nothing of a server, which makes it a good first one to run. The whole configuration lives in a handful of files, and the mistakes people make are all in the same place: workshop content that the server has and the client does not.
Workshop items belong in the config
Add the IDs to the workshop file and the server will hand them to joining players. Install a map by hand and players will be sent to a world they cannot load, which reads to them as a broken server rather than a missing download.
- Curated maps need no extra setup and are the sensible starting point.
- One workshop file, IDs only, and a restart after every change.
- Config.json controls the mode; edit it with the server stopped.
